SAY NO TO HUMAN TRAFFICKING

Sunday 15 May 2011

Hello Sunday

Have been off the blog for a bit but hopefully now back and crafting. I have lots that I am behind with!!! On a plus side though I received my 2 new cricut cartridges and silicone bands from Custom Crops - they give such good service and prompt delivery from the US to the UK - and their prices are good too.

Been a big week for crafty news too as DB leaving qvc - loads of rumours about what will happen but we'll just need to wait and see. Hope she is back on tv demoing again though as it was watching her on qvc that got me into crafting a few years back - although I think my sons wish she hadn't as my stash spreads round the house!!  Anyhow off to get on if you know what I mean

busy making cupcake cases for a friend's event

Have been under the weather this week so not much crafting has been done although I did promise to make cupcake cases for a friend for an event she is involved in so my first draft of them eventually got done today. If she likes these then what goes into them will need to be decided - another challenge!

I used mountboard and stamped a motif repeatedly on them using a La Blanche stamp and versamark then embossed with C&C embossing powder I found in a drawer. Then used faux gems, card candy and black striped organza ribbon. The ribbon wa ssued to fasten the cupcake holders together then finished in a hanging loop with matching mini brads. The cupcake case die is by Eileen Hull for sissix and a favourite die of mine.
