Hi fellow bloggers - had a lovely suprise today to find out I had won a tag from Julia - fairly cheered me up as the rain was back bleugh!. Julia demos on Create and Craft for Creative Expressions so why not pop over to her blog to see some of her fab creations using their stamps
http://inkyfingerzone.blogspot.co.uk/

I'll be back tomorrow with a couple of cards I made tonight using some of my dies from spellbinders and sizzix and this time no stamps were used - as I am really enjoying using dies just now - just as well as I have loads and they really need an airing lol!.

Using my new Sizzix die - thanks again Eileen

I received my new floral die from Eileen Hull and have given it a try as I needed a topper for a gift box [still to make!].:
This was quite a quick project and I layered the different blossom sizes with pads and slightly shaped the layers.
I used:
  • The Sizzix frilled floral bigz die
  • K&Co floral paper
  • raindrop to coordinate
  • A large scalloped oval from toning bazill as a backing with a small piece of olive spotted organza ribbon
This is a really useful addition to my dies as flowers are so versatile.

That cheery lynn trellis again!

Here is my second post for today and using some of the dies I got from the SECC in March and the bazill bargain stack from QVC.
This card took weeks to complete as I had to search through my stash for things I wanted. I have used:
  • Bazill card for the base, the ribbon banner and the foliage
  • nesties wings of hope butterfly die cut twice
  • K&Co paper
  • cheery lynn trellis die cut from ivory centura pearl
  • nesties foliage dies
  • fabric orchid flower
  • rain drops for the butterfly body and the little flower centre
  • organza ribbon
  • part of a clarity corner stamp embossed in antique gold

WOW - got a fab suprise today

Hi again fellow bloggers forgot to post this post!! I received a fab suprise today from Eileen Hull a designer of dies for Sizzix  http://eileenhull.blogspot.co.uk.  Why not check out her blog - loads of inspiration on there. She informed me that I had won one of her fringed flower dies - how great is that? especially as the weather is cold and miserable after our heatwave last week.

I love my bigshot and all the dies I use with it. Sizzix ones though are the only ones I can depend on to cut through thick materials and fabric so love adding to them. Can't wait to play with the new die though as I love the flower dies with fabric and have others including the tattered floral from Tim Holtz collection.

Lim - 61 - Inspiration

Hi fellow bloggers I am a bit late with my entry this week - however here is is; my entry for this weeks LiM which was on picture theme [quite spring colours and floral - I have used 3 of the colours shown or as close as I can get with my stash]:

  • A white mat that has been embossed with a sizzix texturz flowers plate
  • sizzix framelit inner for stamping on
  • orphan stamp [ an old wooden one from soo long ago]
  • promarkers to colour image and edge the shape
  • raffia ribbon from paperchase
I had intended to use the fancy frame from the framelit but it was a bit too much for the size of card I used [6" x6"]
