christmas card selection

hi again fellow bloggers - hope you are enjoying good weather as here in Dundee it has been scorchio!
Anyway trying to get organised and make my christmas cards early. This is a selection made using a sizzix die I bought some time ago and it is really straight forward to pull these together as you just need to select papers.

Sizzix diorama die

Hi fellow bloggers - I got tempted to buy some dies from the sizzix sale and here is a card from one of them the diorama card thinlit set. It was a bit of a learning curve to work out how all the bits could be used and what I have discovered is that it is a very versatile set of dies that can be used in all sorts of ways and not just for the diorama style. I will try out some other options and post them. For this card I decided to use a floral theme and found one of my embossing folders to give the back some added interest and then used a variety of sizzix flower dies to add additional embellishments - I decided that to justify my spend I can say that my paper stash will be cut!!! Lol! The stamp is one of my orphan clear stamps.

Have a good crafty day :)

LiM challenge - one layer card - theme someting French

Hi again fellow bloggers
for my challenge card I have used distress inks for the background using a sizzix heart framelit die as a stencil - it is a mixture of shaded lilac laid over a little picked raspberry using a wet wipe to get a swirly, less even effect . The eiffel tower stamp is a second generation print off from a stamp by crafty individuals to give a faded antique appearance - the frame lines of the stamp are embossed with my scorit to give a shadow appearance. The sentiment and stitched edge is hand done using a kuretake calligraphy pen.

Get well soon card

Hi fellow bloggers another weekend and the rain has gone :) - lets hope we get some of the promised heatwave from Spain for a few days!
This is a card to send to a member of a craft forum, I am a member of
, who is not feeling too well just now. It is a CAS card using some of the many diecuts I have saved to my stash and am trying to use up, I used bazill cardstock for the die cuts and a brilliance silver ink pad for the sentiment and for inking round the circle diecut. The "gems" are from paperchase, Have a good weekend. I'm off to do my LiM challenge :).

Lim blue and brown

hi fellow bloggers I had a week off last week as had a birthday treat!!
This week my entry for the LiM challenge is a one level card, as I found mixing blue and green quite a challenge with my papers/card.
I have used salty ocean distress inkpad for the sentiment and vintage photo distress ink used with a spellbinders metal stencil I have recently discovered in my stash that I purchased soooo long ago :) .
Mind you I am sure that I am not alone in having these little discoveries.

Cute sizzix die

Hi fellow bloggers
Back to crafting after my little break! This time I have used a sizzix card front die that I bought recently as it is so cute. I have used some card from stash to paper piece - this card is created completely from dies and was pretty quick to construct. It is backeed on to a black mat to accentuate the coloured card and then mounted onto a Kraft card.
Happy crafting :)
